A Quiet Forge project
Reverie.
Let your memories linger.
A photo screensaver for Android TV and Google TV, made for the moments when your television has nothing else to do.
Development prototype · no public download yet

Actual capture from a Philips Google TV · built-in demo landscape
Inside the current prototype
Simple settings.
A softer pace.
Choose how your pictures are shown, then let the system screensaver take over when the TV becomes idle.
A real system screensaver
Automatic idle playback through Android’s screensaver service, with one-time device setup.
Local photographs & offline demo scenes
Select local images where the device provides a file picker. Built-in landscapes work without an internet connection.
Photographs, without cropping
Aspect ratio is preserved. Portrait and landscape photos fit within the screen, with empty space where needed.
Your preferred rhythm
Choose a 5, 15, 30 or 60 second interval, sequential or shuffled playback, and an optional clock that moves periodically.
Made for the remote
Settings in English and Ukrainian, navigable with directional buttons, OK and Back.
Google Photos integration
Planned.
Not publicly available.
The development build includes an integration with the Google Photos Ambient API. Access to this API requires acceptance into Google’s Photos Partner Program; that approval has not been obtained.
Cloud photo playback is therefore unavailable in the current project. We do not advertise working Google Photos synchronization or a confirmed release date.
The intended experience is to let you authorize your account and choose albums through Google’s own flow. Photos would travel directly from Google to the TV for screensaver playback.
Compatibility
Built for real TVs.
Designed for Android TV / Google TV running Android 8.0 or later. Real-world testing is ongoing.
Automatic idle activation and demo rendering have been verified on a Philips Google TV running Android TV 14. This is not a claim of compatibility with every television.
Setup can vary by manufacturer
Some firmware hides third-party screensaver settings and may require one-time setup through Android debugging tools. File picker availability also varies.
Samsung Tizen and LG webOS are outside the current Android app’s scope.
